This is a constitutional issue, whereupon the leader of the free world, the President of the United States, killed an American citizen. Giving any U. S. President the right to kill an American citizen, regardless of the rationale, is a slippery-slope that creates unintended consequences. And it is precisely the unintended consequences that could potentially affect you, your family and your friends. President Obama’s political policy on the war on terrorism is predicated on the belief that terror is a legal issue that should be handled as a criminal matter, as opposed to the governing principles of war. The administration’s policy prefers — arresting and Mirandizing foreign terrorists and then bring a criminal case in a US court. However, given the President’s own statements, the killing of Americans, simply “accused” of terrorism, runs counter to his policy. For instance, the Department of Justice has criminally charged a number of f phen375 oreign terrorists under US criminal law. This policy gives foreign nationals the constitutional protections afforded Americans. Miranda rights arose from the United States Supreme Court ruling in the case of Miranda vs. Alabama in 1966. The Miranda rule establishes that Americans have certain rights and the police must advise a person of those rights upon arrest for a criminal offense. The Miranda rules state, in general, that a person has the right to an attorney and the right to assert the 5th Amendment of the United States Constitution, which provides people in America the right to remain silent in order to not act as a witness against them self. The Declaration of Independence establishes that Americans have certain inalienable (God given) rights, which include the right to: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The United States Constitution protects those inalienable rights and establishes the “limits” of government power.
